Why I Became a Financial Advisor

I chose to become a financial advisor because I see it as the perfect combination of my love of finance and of tutoring. I get to work with my clients to help them learn and grow, and I am able to share my passion for finance with them in a way that is really meaningful. To me, financial planning is like a partnership, where you and I work together to identify and then pursue your ambitions.

The financial planning relationship begins with what I call a “personal insight” meeting where I learn about your goals, concerns, and answer any specific questions you may have. If we decide that it makes sense to put together a financial plan, we begin with a process called “blueprinting” in which my team and I will gather information about your current financial position. With this data and a clear understanding of your goals and concerns, my financial planning team and I will create a digital model of your current situation using powerful planning tools. Using this model, we can have a collaborative discussion about different strategies that will help you accomplish your goals, and the impact those strategies will have today and in the future. Once we have decided on a course of action, my team and I will be able to make specific recommendations as to which strategies best fit your plan.

As an independent financial planning firm, we can offer products from a wide variety of top-rated companies and are not bound to only offering proprietary products. We are also able to build customized actively and passively managed investment portfolios tailored to meet each client’s individual needs. As a result, I believe the financial recommendations I make are the best available, not just the best available to me.

Once we have decided together what recommendations you will be implementing, my team and I will prepare all the necessary documents to put your customized plan into action. Here we will also provide you with access to your own personal website where you can see current balances and monitor progress towards the objectives we defined together.

Change is an inevitable facet of life. Whether it is changes in tax law, developments in your personal life, or any other wrinkle that the future brings, what will remain consistent is my commitment to helping you pursue your goals. At our regularly scheduled standard of care meetings, we will have the ability to have collaborative discussions where you will be able to educate me on how your life and goals have evolved, and I will be able to educate you on how best to pursue them. My team and I will be a partner, there to offer you guidance and reassurance as you make your way through your future.
